The Carlson Law Firm believes teachers are the foundation of strong communities. Every day, educators across Texas go above and beyond for their students, using their own time and resources to create welcoming, supportive classrooms.
We created Carlson Cares in the Classroom to show our support of those amazing teachers who do so much for their students. Carlson Cares in the Classroom is a monthly giveaway program designed to give back to Texas teachers in a practical way.
What is Carlson Cares in the Classroom?
Each month, Carlson Cares in the Classroom shows support by randomly selecting two Texas teachers to receive up to $250 toward items on their Amazon classroom wish lists. These funds can go toward anything from classroom supplies and teaching tools to books or student support resources.
The program was created to recognize the everyday impact educators make for their students and to help ease some of the out-of-pocket costs many teachers face throughout the school year.
How Long Has the Giveaway Been Running?
Carlson Cares in the Classroom is an ongoing monthly program, accepting application through June 2026. At the start of each month, two teachers are selected from the current pool of applicants.
As a new school year approaches, we ask teachers to resubmit their information so we can keep applications up to date. We will send a reminder when it is time, because we want teachers to feel supported and appreciated for everything they do.
How to Submit an Entry
Applying is simple and designed to be accessible for busy educators. Any current teacher or classroom educator that works at a public, private or charter school can apply, but you must be in Texas.
Steps to Enter
- Complete the Carlson Cares in the Classroom application form
- Include a link to your active Amazon classroom wish list
- Watch for a confirmation email after submitting your entry
There is no purchase required to apply or be selected.
How are Winners Selected and Announced?
At the beginning of each month, two teachers are randomly selected from the pool of eligible applicants. Winners are then contacted by phone or email using their preferred method of communication and must respond within 24 hours to claim their prize.
Winners are announced on The Carlson Law Firm’s social media pages at the end of each month. Teachers who are comfortable sharing may also be featured in photos or videos, though participation in social content is always optional.
January Spotlight: Celebrating Our Recent Winners
This January, we were honored to support two incredible educators who are making a difference in their classrooms every day.
📚 Kayla Elam – Midway High School
Kayla used her Amazon wish list to refresh her classroom care closet, which provides students with access to personal care items they might not have. Her goal is to make sure every student feels supported, welcomed and cared for inside and outside of the classroom.
📚 April Sanchez – Eastwood Heights Elementary School
April, a third-grade teacher, selected essential classroom materials that helped her create an organized and engaging learning environment. She often uses her own funds to support her students, so we were grateful for the opportunity to help lighten the load.
We are thankful to Kayla, April and all the educators across Texas who continue to show up for their students every day and encourage all who are eligible to apply.

Carlson Cares in the Class is about much more than school supplies. It was created to recognize the heart, dedication and impact of teachers across Texas. By supporting classrooms directly, we hope to contribute to learning environments where students feel valued, encouraged and prepared.
