The Carlson Law Firm isn’t just here to help with legal issues but in all aspects of life. Throughout the year, each one of our 15 offices across Texas has the opportunity to go out into their communities and help an organization within their community. For us, helping out our community is more than handing out a check. We are the law firm that cares and would like to touch as many lives as possible with whatever we can.
With being a nationally recognized law firm, we are here to remind you all that we are here to help and serve our community. Check out to see what Carlson Cares was up to this past year all across Texas.
March 2021
Killeen, TX
To start the year, our principal office in Killeen helped The Food Care Center to help pack grocery bags and restock food shelves with non-perishable items. As a whole, 200 bags were stocked with food essentials items for families in Central Texas to take.

Midland, TX
Later on that month, our Midland office took on the job to help out their community by joining Keep Midland Beautiful. On Saturday, March 27 attorney Russell Shrauner, alongside other team members went out into the community and picked up trash along Loop 250.
The main reason why the Loop seems to be messy most of the time is due to the abundance of businesses and apartment complexes along the way.
Keep Midland Beautiful is a non-profit that works closely with Midland with the goal to educate and inspire the community to promote a beautiful Midland. To learn more about Keep Midland Beautiful, you can visit www.keepmidlandbeautiful.org.
April 2021

“No child, individual, and family should ever have to worry about where their next meal will come from,” The Carlson Law Firm partner Edna Elizondo said. “We support the work that the Food Bank is doing for our communities and making sure that families are fed in Southwest Texas.”
August 2021
South Austin and Waco, TX
Two of our offices decided to give back to their communities by supplying school supplies to the school-aged children in their community.
On August 12, Carlson Cares in South Austin handed out backpacks full of school supplies to the summer campers at the Dittmar Center to get them ready for the upcoming year.
August 14 Carlson Cares in Waco, along with the Law Office of Carlos Diaz and Budget Auto Insurance, hosted a Back-2-School Bash. We were able to help the community by giving away 140 backpacks full of school supplies to help the students get ready for the school year!
“We’re hoping to host another backpack giveaway next year,” attorney Dominic Braus from the Waco office said. “We’d like to see this event get larger as we help more people each year. Our goal is to always let the community know that we’re more than just an injury law firm, The Carlson Law Firm is here to help when you need it most.”
September 2021
Baytown, TX
Although our doors hadn’t opened, our Baytown office was ready to serve their community after Tropical Storm Nicholas damaged property and left residents without electricity. Baytown residents that were in need received items such as diapers, water, canned goods, toilet paper, and much more.
“For me, the East Houston-Baytown area is my home and I care deeply about our community,” attorney Nick Homan said. “The Carlson Law Firm has a long history of helping Texans with their legal needs, but having an office in the area means that we can really show you what our firm stands for, and that is compassionate legal assistance and a commitment to serving our community.”
October 2021
Killeen, TX
On Saturday, October 2, we celebrated 45 years of business by inviting the community out to our Birthday Blowout. Our Killeen office raffled off $1,000 to Kalahari Resorts, played games, and enjoyed fried Oreo’s. All the proceeds went to Central Bell Fire & Rescue, which is the volunteer fire department that provides emergency services response to the City of Nolanville and surrounding central bell county area.
“After retiring from the military, Central Texas became my home,” Carlson said. “Like so many in the Killeen, Temple, and Belton area, my wife, who is also a veteran, and I chose to plant roots and raise our family here. It means a lot to us that we’re able to celebrate this milestone and put together an event like this to raise money for these volunteer firefighters.”

December 2021
What has become our favorite time of the year, Carlson’s Christmas Miracle was bigger and brighter this year. This year, the elves at The Carlson Law Firm took on the challenge to make Christmas happen for 12 families across Texas. We had the privilege to meet 12 families and help them with basic necessities and gifts that were asked for, including coats, shoes, laptops, and much more.
“It’s a complete blessing for myself and the law firm to be able to go out and spread Christmas cheer,” managing partner Craig Carlson said. “ That’s what our firm is all about. It’s about helping people, not just in legal problems, but with problems with life and going out and helping out our communities.
