ROUND ROCK, Texas — Six students across all grade levels received brand-new bikes for excelling in reading and math at Bluebonnet Elementary School in Round Rock on April 30.
Students who demonstrated growth in early literacy (K-2nd students) and math (3-5th grade) were entered into a drawing to win brand-new bikes.
The winners were announced at a school pep rally by Principal Sam Soto.
The Carlson Law Firm stepped in to donate three out of the six bikes. Representatives from the firm were invited to attend the pep rally that celebrated the Math and Reading Challenge the students participated in throughout the year.
The Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation posted the following to their Facebook page, “Here at PIEF, it makes our work so meaningful when we can connect community partners with funding opportunities that make a HUGE impact on students.”
Carlson Law Firm Family Law Attorney Cheryl Powell is a Campus Champion for Bluebonnet Elementary and has served on the school’s board for several years.
“Thank you Jaime and Morgan for attending the school’s pep rally and presenting the bikes to deserving students,” Powell said.
