WACO, TX- The Carlson Law Firm’s charitable program, Carlson Cares, will host its third annual Backpack-2-School Bash to help families prepare for the new school year Saturday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Carlson Cares will be handing out backpacks containing supplies needed for school-aged students, including notebooks, colored pencils, glue sticks, and other necessary school supplies.
Waco families will have the opportunity to bring their school-aged children to The Carlson Law Firm’s new Waco office located at 2420 Interstate 35 South and pick up a free school backpack filled with school supplies. In addition to the backpack giveaway, the free event will include Chick-Fil-A, Kona Ice, games, prizes, and The Beat 94.5 broadcasting live.
“For the past three years, we’ve taken the opportunity to help our community in any way needed,” said The Carlson Law Firm’s partner, Dominic Braus. “With the recent rise of the overall cost of living, school supplies may create another costly expense for parents. We want to help our Waco family, friends and neighbor equip every student with the tools needed to succeed in the classroom.”
According to the National Retail Federation, the average cost for back-to-school shopping in the United States is over $600.
There will be a limit of three backpacks per family, with the requirement of students being present and only while supplies last.

In 2021, Carlson Cares, along with the Law Office of Carlos Dias and Budget Auto Insurance, Central Texas Pain Center, and more, were able to deliver about 140 backpacks to the families of Waco. This year, the firm hopes to give away 150 backpacks.
