Carlson Cares gives back to those in our direct communities by stepping out to volunteer and hosting a Party With A Purpose. Parties With A Purpose are designed for all of our Carlson Law Firm locations to annually host a free community event that gives back to those around us. Having a servant mindset and giving back is something we do best at The Carlson Law Firm with our Carlson Cares program. With school coming up, and students who need supplies, we were happy to have made an Eventful Impact at our Backpack Giveaway in Waco.
Why A Backpack Giveaway?
With school starting sooner than we think, families with students from Kinder through Senior Year rush the neighborhood stores to grab all of the needed school supplies and a backpack for their kids. Carlson Cares wants to best equip our students for success and aid them with needed school supplies year after year. Continuing the Waco Party with A Purpose tradition of the backpack giveaway, our Waco office doubled in giveaway size packing up and distributing 300 backpacks to students of all ages. Filled with spirals, glue sticks, folders, pencils, erasers and extra school supplies we made sure to set up our Waco families for education achievement this school year.
Porsche; Case Manager at our Waco office, said it best when asked what her favorite part of the event was.
“The entire event was my favorite part, passing out the backpacks was fun as well. It took about 30 minutes, which was good because it gave people time to enjoy the activities.”
Partner Dom VS Dunk Tank
After hashing out all of the Backpack Giveaway details, our Carlson Law Firm Partner, Dom, at our Waco office requested a dunk tank for our families to enjoy! Dom had a SPLASH!
Games Galore!
Including inflatable axe throwing, hula hoops, washers, giant connect four and corn hole, everyone had something they could enjoy.
What beats the Texas heat? A dunk tank and some Kona Ice!
We knew giving out backpacks couldn’t be the end all to our Party With A Purpose this year. With school starting back up, why not end the Summer with some family fun. Including games, inflatable ax throwing, complimentary Kona Ice, Chick Fil A goodies and a “Dunk the Attorney” dunk tank, we had it all.
“Everything went well! The inflatables were a really big hit along with the dunk tank as usual. Everyone stayed hydrated with the snow cones and enjoyed the side games. Kona Ice was a hit!
