[KILLEEN, TX]—The Carlson Law Firm is happy to announce their blood drive scheduled for August 27, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the firm’s Killeen office located at 100 E Central Texas Expressway, Killeen, TX.
The Carlson Law Firm is hosting its second blood drive in Killeen this year. This effort is particularly timely, given the rise in critical car accidents during the summer months, which has increased the demand for life-saving blood transfusions. As the nation faces an ongoing blood shortage, this marks the firm’s third blood drive of the year.
The Baylor Scott & White Blood Center’s mobile unit will be conveniently located in The Carlson Law Firm’s parking lot, right on the Expressway’s frontage road, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Donors can easily sign up for a donation slot in this blood drive by visiting https://bswbloodcenter.org/donorportal/ and selecting The Carlson Law Firm campaign.
Donating blood is a simple process with minimal requirements. According to BSW guidelines, donors should:
- Be at least 17 years old
- Have a form of photo ID, like a driver’s license or employee badge
- Eat a nutritious meal and stay hydrated before donating
- Be in good general health and feel well on the day of donation
Each blood donation can save up to three lives and takes approximately 45 minutes, including registration, vitals check, a brief interview, the donation itself, and a snack break.
As a thank you for supporting the local blood supply, donors will receive a 32-ounce stainless steel thermal cup, while supplies last.
